I thought you would enjoy reading this article I wrote–and that was just posted on BabyCenter–on eight hidden money savers you can use every day. I interviewed a handful of great people for the story and mention a bunch of websites you may want to check out for yourself. I’ve listed those sites below. For ideas on bartering: Craigslist and Time Banks

To get money back on everyday purchases: Upromise, Cashbaq, Mr. Rebates, BigCrumbs, and Ebates

To earn gift cards: do your Internet searches through SwagBucks instead of Google.

For ideas on becoming a secret shopper or survey participant to earn extra money: Volition, Mystery Shop Forum,  Nicole’s Nickels, Cents-able-Momma, MySurvey, Opinion Outpost, and Global Opinions Panel.

How do dine out on the cheap: eat at Ikea, or use Restaurant.com or Cities on the Cheap

    Some other ways to save money – especially at the grocery store – are by using the calculator on your cell phone to keep a tally as you shop and avoiding prepared foods. My colleague, Dages Keates of http://deliciousdialogues.com/ helped.
