Yes, Target gives you bag credits - doesn't matter what bag it is.

I think the SuperFresh in New Hope still gives you 2 cents per bag...but you have to remind the clerks. A new pet peeve...when I tell a sales clerk that I have brought my own bag, they sometimes still put my things in one of their plastic bags. I repeat that I have my own bag; they remove my items from the bag and throw it away! Yikes!

I *wish* my supermarket still gave credits. I know the ones I can visit to get those credits, but they're not always convenient. And you're right about the checkout people and grief with reusable bags. There is one bagger at my local market who always audibly sighs whenever I put my bags down for her to use. Get over yourself!

My pleasure, Kathleen. Happy to help.

FYI, when I used to get the IKEA bags, they were the ones I used to keep the clothes I planned to donate to Goodwill. But they did tear easily.

I love bag credits! Not that I care if I actually save money or not, but it shows me that a store cares and that I won't get any grief from the person at the register when I put my pile of bags on the counter. (And yes, that has happened.)

My local Whole Foods offers bag credits but they also give you the option of donating those credits to a designated local charity. There are two new ones each month and I love that those dribs and drabs of money will add up to a nice donation to a worthy cause.

I bring bags to the grocery store each week. I didn't know Target credited you. I will buy some there too. IKEA bags are so oversized that once I brought them home I thought, now what do I do with these. I should have brought my own the last trip there. Thanks for the tips as always Leah!
