I've never reused Gift wrap before, but I do reuse gift bags, tissue paper, ribbon and bows. Gift wrap seems to just get ripped to shreds in my house.
I do make new cloth gift bags every year. Next year, I'm going to make some cloth gift wrap also. I reuse these bags every year so I try to make them look special. I've sewn gift bags and made them using a knitting loom. You could also crochet or knit them. Make them throughout the year and put them aside for the holidays.
I know some people who wrap their gifts in news paper and use nice ribbons and bows that can be recycled from year to year as well.

great post Leah! I'm one of those 61% of women who reuse gift wrap
as well as ribbons and trims. this year I'm givig my husband some
dish towels (organic & bamboo fabrics) and will use them to wrap
some of his other gifts. I'm also experimenting with making gift
bags using the linings of a couple of deconstructed suits that
weren't good enough for a thrift shop. We'll see if I get that far -
it's almost 2 pm on the 23rd and I haven't even started wrapping. In
fact, I'm still knitting!
