The Disney free birthday admission was for 2009. They were offering free park admission if you volunteered for one day during 2010 - but they've already reached their 1 million person quota, and the freebie is finished.

Actually, the book cover at right on my blog links through to Amazon, via Amazon Associates. And I am using Google Ad Sense. In fact, I just got a check for $108 from Google! Thanks for making sure I'm doing what's necessary to "monetize" my blog!

Fun birthday ideas. The thing I hate (this is not a vent against YOU) is how the "cost" of free stuff is registering, getting emails, junk mail, and loss of privacy. Sometimes I'd rather pay full price at places than have them clutter my mailbox, email, and head space with blasts/ads/coupons.

And I noticed you're now trying to monetize this blog- yay! I don't see one of your "buy now" on amazon links pointing to your Amazon Associates accounts, but it gives you commission on any purchases originiating from the clickthrough. Definitely need to set that up!

I'm also not sure on Wordpress, but I think on Blogspot you can set up your Google Adwords to actually appear at the end of every POST. This is useful because it gives more content-specific ads which people might appreciate seeing and click on. I'd also consider ad space beneath your book, above search, to enhance ad visibility those who may not scroll down much.
