Wow! I can’t believe how many more freebies for Veterans Day have come out of the woodwork since I posted my original Veterans Day freebies piece and then my piece on discounts for Veterans Day. I’ve listed these additional freebies in alphabetical order. There are 12 more to tell you about.
Note: these freebies are good for those with military ID or other paperwork that can prove that they are a veteran, or an active or reserve member of the military. Please check the details of each freebie–I’ve provided links whenever possible–so that you’re not disappointed if, for some reason, you don’t qualify.
- Free admission at Anheuser-Busch Theme Parks–if they are currently open. (Parks like Sesame Place are closed for the season.) This free admission is courtesy of the Here’s to the Heroes Program, which provides details on how members of the military and their family can get free admission on Veteran’s Day. Note: you have to register in advance.
- Get a free burger at Champps Americana on 11/11/11. Check out details on the Chammps Americana Facebook page and/or use the restaurant’s website to find a location near you.
- Free admission and free parking at Colonial Williamsburg in Williamsburg, Virginia. You must “purchase” your tickets on site. Tickets are good for the entire weekend–November 11-13, 2011.
- Some Denny’s are giving vets a free Grand Slam Breakfast on Veterans Day.
- Free food at Famous Dave’s. These freebies vary by location, so check out this special Veterans Day page on the Famous Dave’s website for what you can expect to get for free at your local Famous Dave’s. (Vets near where I live get a free two-meat salute meal, complete with corn bread, corn on the cob, and another side.)
- Free breakfast buffet at Hy-Vee stores with in-store dining.
- Free entree at Olive Garden restaurants. There are two free entree options only: Seafood Alfredo and Chicken Parmigiana only.
- Free small Slurpee at 7-11 between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Get it? The times are 7 and 11, though in reverse?
- Steak dinner BOGO at Sizzler.
- Subway is already offering a BOGO deal on sandwiches in November; some Subway locations may be offering a free 6-inch sandwich on 11/11/11. So ask.
- Buy one entree, get one entree free at T.G.I. Friday’s.
- Twin Peaks will give you a free entree (worth up to $10). (Awesome; I’d never heard of Twin Peaks. It looks like a Hooters knock off, if you know what I mean….)
(Thanks to both the Military Wallet and Coupon Sherpa websites for information on some of these new-to-me freebies.)
If you hear of even more freebies in time for Veterans Day (11/11/11), please post a comment to let us know.

Thanks! I’ve actually got that one in my Freebie Friday roundup but forgot to add it to this latest post!

Remembering and honoring our Vet’s is so important, and is often over-looked these days. Big Gunz Clothing is having a 10% sale on all their merchandise November 1oth-14th. 10% of the sales will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project. You can visit http://www.biggunzclothing.com to help donate, or visit http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org for more information about the foundation.
Thank you!
How in the world can you go wrong with freebies, but I love the roundup of offers good for the long weekend, when I actually have some free time to use them!
