Most people are familiar with consignment shops that you visit in person. You know from my recent Year of Renewed Frugality post on consigning clothing that I am a fan of consigning clothes as a way of bringing in extra cash and keeping clothing clutter to a minimum in my house. I’ve also taught my teenage daughters that consigning clothing is a way to bring in extra cash.
When they were little I would sell some of their children’s clothing on eBay, but I never got crazy doing it. At that time eBay was my only real option for using an online vehicle to make money on used clothes. Now there’s a website called ThredUp.
ThredUp is an online consignment shop that allows you to buy and sell used clothing, all without leaving the comfort of your home. Like many online ventures, you can get free shipping if you’re buying clothing–spend at least $40 to get free shipping.
And thanks to one of my affiliate networks, I have a ThredUp coupon code to share with you to help you save $10 off your first purchase at ThredUp. Use SAVE10 at checkout.
Note: you have to be a first-time ThredUp customer to be able to use this code. Also, this code is good through Monday, January 21st, 11:59 p.m. Pacific time only. So if you think you might like to try this online consignment shop or the ThredUp coupon code, you need to act fast.
