Wish I had more Valentine’s Day freebies to share with you, but they don’t seem to be as abundant as in years gone by!

Free Stuff

  • Free cooking class on February 12th at Williams-Sonoma on cooking winter vegetables. (Check with your local Williams-Sonoma store for details on this free class.)
  • “Like” Redbox on Facebook and get a coupon for a free night’s movie rental.
  • February is American Heart Month. And CVS wants to help keep your heart healthy by offering free health screenings all month long. Here’s the deal. Every weekday in February, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., you can stop in to your local CVS location for $100 worth of health screenings done for free–no appointment necessary.Please check the CVS website to see if a location near you is participating.
  • Get a 7 Day Free Gym Membership Pass for 24Hour Fitness; Click Here to access that pass, which will entitle you to enjoy all the free exercise classes you want, and you can workout at any of their club locations. Note: you may have to go through as many as 3 steps/click-throughs to get this freebie. Be patient; it’s worth it.
  • Right now you can get your Federal Tax Return completed via Turbo Tax for free. This is a deal that came through my affiliate networks as did this freebie: H&R Block 2012 allows you to file your federal tax return for free. (State returns cost extra.)
  • Staples is offer free shredding through the end of February. Bring in up to 5 lb. of bank statements, tax returns and more, and Staples will shred it for free. This shredding usually costs $.79 per pound. This freebie ends on 2/29/12.

Free Food

  • Get free Stephen Colbert’s Americone Dream Ben & Jerry’s ice cream on Valentine’s Day at participating Ben & Jerry’s scoop shops! If you’re a Stephen Colbert fan, you can watch his video announcement of this freebie here. (Thanks, Southern Savers!)
  • Free food at Qdoba for a kiss. That is, when you buy an entree at Qdoba on Valentine’s Day and share a kiss with someone, you’ll get another entree for free--perhaps for the person you’ve just kissed?
  • When you purchase a dozen doughnuts at Krispy Kreme for Valentine’s Day, you’ll get a dozen free Valentine’s Day cards–each with a coupon for free doughnuts. So you can keep those coupons for yourself and get free Krispy Kreme doughnuts in the future, or you can give them away! Either way, it’s a win-win! (Thanks, Baltimore on the Cheap.)
  • Use this Quiznos coupon to get a free cookie at Quiznos on Valentine’s Day February 14th. (Thanks, Cities on the Cheap!)

To get this freebie, visit the Panda Express website and download a coupon for a free single-serving Firecracker Chicken Breast entree. You’ll need to bring that coupon with you when you order your food.
  • Speaking of Chinese food, when you sign up for P.F. Chang’s Warrior Rewards program, you’ll get a coupon for free lettuce wraps. Yum! Lettuce wraps are my favorite item on the P.F. Chang’s menu! Free makes me love them even more!
  • White Castle is offering Cravers a coupon available on the White Castle Facebook page for one free 8 oz. chili with any purchase. The coupon will be available on Facebook for redemption on Wednesday, January 25, 2012, only.
  • This printable coupon entitles you to a free medium fries at McDonald’s when you purchase a beverage, through 2/4/12.

The reason I’m sharing this freebie with you is this: DailyWorth is giving away to $704 to three lucky readers who sign up for a subscription. Why $704? Seems like such a random number, right? Well, that happens to be the average amount that Americans spent this past holiday for 2011. I normally don’t post about contests but I love this site and figure, what the heck! (This freebie contest has maxed out and is no longer available.)
  • Clearing out clutter as part of your New Year’s Resolutions? Well, if you’ve got kids stuff you’re looking to get rid off, you may be interested in the free Thred-Up site. The thredUP community is where moms swap kids clothes and toys. Signing up is free.
  • Puppies. Who doesn’t love puppies? If you’d like to share a book about puppies with the littlest dog lovers in your life, then you’ll love this free downloadable e-book on puppies. Wow! The next Freebie Friday post that I write will be for a date in 2012. I still remember being a kid and thinking about what it was going to be like when the year 2000 arrived. Now we’re staring down 2012. Unbelievable how fast time goes.

But my purpose isn’t to reminisce about days gone by. My purpose is to share with you all the freebies I could find for the coming week. Here you go!

Free Stuff

  • You’ve got two more days to take advantage of the free holiday music that you can download from Amazon.com. Every day in December, another song has become available, and December 25th is the last day for the 25 Days of Free Holiday Music on Amazon. Sure, you could listen to a holiday station on Pandora but why not download music to keep for free?
  • Get free Procter & Gamble products when you sign up for the P&G “Have You Tried This?” program.

Free Food

  • This printable coupon entitles you to a free medium fries at McDonald’s when you purchase a beverage.
  • Get free coffee and two free donuts at Dunkin Donuts locations in the Pittsburgh area, on Monday December 26th, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, when you participate in the “Great Dunkin’ Donut Holiday Gift Exchange” to benefit the local chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America.  “Folks should take that new sweater, book or other unneeded gift to their local Dunkin’ Donuts restaurant where they can donate it to a good cause,” said Nick Spencer, Dunkin’ Donuts Pittsburgh Marketing Manager.  “In exchange, they’ll receive a free, freshly brewed medium-sized coffee and two great tasting donuts of their choice.” All new gifts donated must be in original packaging and/or with tags and hold a minimum retail value of $10.

Nonetheless, I can’t believe both holidays are nearly here and, before we know it, we’ll be counting down to New Year’s Eve. Speaking of which I totally want to see that movie “New Year’s Eve.” It’s look hysterical. Guess I should catch a frugal matinee sometime during Christmas week. But I digress.   • Here’s my roundup of restaurants, retailers, and others that will reward you with a free gift card when you purchase a gift card.
  • Yesterday (December 1st) started the 25 Days of Free Holiday Music at Amazon.com. That is, use my affiliate link at left to visit Amazon.com every day through Christmas, and you’ll find a new piece of holiday music to download for free. (I discovered that there is an additional place to go on Amazon to download free holiday music.)
  • Once again Bank of America cardholders get free museum admission this weekend, December 3rd and 4th. This free admission is part of the Bank of America’s national program, “Museums on Us,” which provides free admission the first full weekend of every month to 150 participating museums. This freebie is limited to Bank of America credit/debit card holders only.
  • Attend a free cooking demonstration class at a Williams-Sonoma store this weekend. On Sunday, December 4th, you’ll learn how to cook a delicious holiday breakfast for a crowd.

Free Food

  •  “Like” AMC Movie Theaters on Facebook, and you’ll receive a coupon for a free small popcorn at the movies. You’ll need to print out the coupon from Facebook, and that coupon is valid December 2-4, 2011 only. That’s this weekend only! (No mobile versions of the coupon will be accepted.)   • “Like” White Castle on Facebook to get a coupon for a free side of sweet potato fries when you purchase a White Castle burger.
  • Kids eat free every Tuesday at Bob Evans, which has deemed it to be Tuesday Family Nights! That free kids meal comes with the purchase of an adult entree.

  • From Saturday, October 29th, and running through Halloween–or Monday, October 31st–if you bring this Boston Market coupon with you to a participating location, your kids will eat for free.   • Saturday, October 29th is National Prescription Drug Take Back day, a free way to dispose of prescription drugs. Use this DEA Search Tool to find a participating location near you. Most take backs are occurring between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. In addition to prescription drugs, you may also “take back” over the counter (OTC) medicines, vitamins, supplements, and even pets meds.

  • On Saturday, October 8, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sam’s Club locations with a pharmacy will offer women, members and non-members alike, free and simple tests that check thyroid health. The free screenings will include a TSH test (a simple test for thyroid disorders), blood pressure and BMI tests, typically valued up to $150 per person, while testing supplies last. During the screenings, Sam’s Club pharmacies will also offer free samples of women’s health-related products and awareness information.
  • Saturday, October 8th is National Costume Swap Day, created by the people behind Green Halloween! Finding a swap near you means you can get a Halloween costume for free–as long as you bring one to swap!
  • Bring  your kids, ages 3 and up, to Michaels on Sunday, October 9th, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. for a free, fun Halloween craft.
  • When you buy a copy of the Working Mom Survival Guide: How to Run Around Less & Enjoy Life More, with Working Mother magazine (it releases on 10/4–good buddy), you get a free subscription to Working Mother magazine.
  • Get a free pet exam on your first visit to a VCA Animal Hospital. Find a location near you here.
