There are seven weekends throughout the year when newspapers don’t bother with coupon inserts, and all seven weekends are tied into one holiday or another. This weekend–April 7th and 8th–is one of those weekends because of Easter. I’m not exactly sure why coupon companies have chosen not to send out coupons on the same weekend as a holiday, but to my way of thinking, people are usually home with family–and possibly reading the newspaper–on those weekends.
